Watch the $10 NOW video-tune in to You Tube

November 23, 2007

The B.C. Federation of Labour has just released a new You Tube video as part of the campaign to boost the minimum wage and win a long overdue pay increase for low paid workers in the province.

$10 NOW: BC Workers Need a Raise is a short piece where working people talk about why our minimum wage needs to be increased and what it's like living on below poverty level wages.

You can watch it now by clicking here.

Please let your friends and family know about the video and share the link with them.

Public support for boosting the minimum wage continues to grow. So far more than 50,000 people have signed the Federation's $10 NOW petition.  (If you haven't signed yet, please click here.)

And Jim Sinclair, B.C. Fed president, says the labour movement will continue with the campaign until the Campbell Liberals increase the minimum and tens of thousands of workers are brought up to the poverty line.
