Labour Day Rally: Gordon Campbell isn’t listening

August 25, 2008

Help us send Gordon Campbell a message he can't ignore.

Tax the profits not the people.
Gasoline prices have skyrocketed 31% in the last year while corporate profits soar. Now is the time to cancel Campbell's gas tax and put a windfall tax on oil company profits.
People are hurting but he's not listening.

Kill obscene pay increases.
Gordon Campbell raised his own salary by 54% and senior bureaucrat's wages by up to 43%.
People are outraged but he's not listening.

Raise the minimum wage to $10 now.
Gordon Campbell and the Liberals have frozen the minimum wage at $8 an hour for seven long years. British Columbians overwhelmingly endorse a $10 minimum wage but he's not listening.

Bring your truck, car, taxi, motorbike, bus or RV and join us in our drive from Surrey to Vancouver to protest Gordon Campbell's continued attack on working families. Or, join us for a rally at the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Surrey: 8:30am to 9:00am: Gather at the Truckers stop (Highway 91 just north of Highway 10, before the Alex Fraser Bridge). For a map of the location click here.

Vancouver: 11:00 am to noon. Rally at the Vancouver Art Gallery (Robson St. side)
